Pain in my back
Yesterday I slipped on this thing called a pivit and hurt the hell out of my back. It looked sort of like this:

I also was messing around with some character design.



I'm still not 100% on the style... I'll be experimenting with it a lot. Anyway. Later guys.

That Pivit thing? The balance board? I've ALWAYS wanted one of those!

We had a neighbor who had an old wooden one. He could balance on that thing for hours. Then I watched a biography on Hugh Hefner and learned that he used to use a balance board for metitative purposes when he was trying to think about stories and layouts for Playboy during his publishing days.

Those things just look fun. I never see them in stores, but I know Amazon sells them. I should just get one already.

and as for sluggy and r'n'e, I don't want to sound shallow, but your females are always very attractive, and I'm not into that. [cartoon girls. real girls = yes.]

I only resemble Elliot in the haircut and basic body type (except I'm more out of shape), so from the back, yeah, I guess I do look like him. Look at my first LJ post for a pic of me.

As for the girls... Rob and Elliot has a pretty limited cast, and there are only a few girls at all. The only recurring one is Noel, who is supposed to be hot. Rob's ever growing list of girlfriends (who you only see him breaking up with) are supposed to be hot too. Kind of like how JD on Scrubs only goes out with smoking hot women. It's a pretty limited cast, so there's not all that much room for variety. The Sluggy girls are predefined in how they look, and I'm just trying to best approximate that with my style. Were I to do an ensemble cast style comic, I'd vary it up a bit more.

I do agree that the girl I drew in this post is a little too "pretty girl" for the role I'm invisioning for her. (that's why I'm not 100% on it :) )
