New Design!
A brand spanking new site design, folks! Also a webcam. There will be some more bonus features going up soon (we're shooting for next Friday). It looks like Penny Arcade totally stole my thunder with a new site design of their own. For you web designers out there, it may interest you to know that my site is 100% css converted. Not a table in site. This took some learning because I'd never used css before and I was opened to a whole new world of IE/Firefox incompatibilities. For instance, IE won't let you valign a div. Lame. It makes me glad to see that according to the stats, most of our readers are Firefox users (55%)instead of IE (30%). A smart bunch of readers we've got :) So anyway, test out the site, and let me know what you think.

Awesome new design!

Also, the thought of playing Mario Kart DS with people around the interwebs makes me nearly wet myself (as you mentioned today in your post). I, for one, will be posting my friend keycode thingy all over the place. YAY INTERNETS AND MARIO KART TOGETHER AT LAST

Congrats on the new design. It seems to be that's the bug that's bitten people lately. In addition to PA, Digital Pimp Online and Ctrl+Alt+Del also did massive redesigns.

Makes me think I need to redo mine now!

Love the new site layout dude, it looks great. Also, todays comic was hilarious, keep it up! This has definitely become one of my favorite webcomics

I saw the new site. It looks awesome. Its like everyone is redoing their sites. Ctrl+Alt+Del redid theirs, too. I wish I actually knew some code. I need to get a competent artist who knows that kind of stuff I guess.... Also, FireFox is the shizzle.

It's not that I don't want to use Firefox, it's just that I can't download it because the owner of this computer is a nazi. However, the site seems to work fine for me. So long as I can read the comics, it's good by me.

Also, PA isn't the only site redesigning. CtrlAltDel just did a rehaul too. Is this some sort of fall redecoration trend for online comics atm?

Edit: Aaaaand someone before me already pointed out that ctrlaltdel did a "redo" of their site too. I r observant. =B

Edit addendum: LJ really needs a comment edit feature. >.o

Nice design. I like the forum drop down especially. I feel your CSS pain. When I did a new design for my site a few months ago, I wanted to add a strip progress meter. After a week or two of arduous fiddling, I finally had to give up and do just that part of the page with tables. The <div>s I originally coded rendered fine in Firefox, but looked like shite in IE.

The new site looks great. I too feel your CSS pain. One comment though, please, please, please, please leave links underlined. At the very least make the text color very different and bold text. On my nice CRT I can barely see a color difference to the links in todays news post. On my average LCD at work there really isn't any noticeable difference at all. The university IT office I work at actually will not design pages for clients without underlined links on the basis that it breaks accepted web standards. It's frequently requested and sometimes people get really ticked off when we refuse but in the end it leads to a lot less confusion.
